Subject: Kill Task Guide Message: This guide will discuss Kill Tasks from my perspective. If your experience differs please add your information so it will be as complete as possible. THIS GUIDE IS STRICTLY FOR PEOPLE WHO WANT TO TASK FROM CAMELOT, PRWYDEN, or BRIDGE WHY DO KILL TASKS? Kill tasks allow you to move from level 5 to level 20 within 2 or 3 days of /played time. Your armor and weapon repair costs will be less because you are battling fewer monsters. By the time you make level 20 you would have been rewarded with over 30g in coinage for your effort. You don't need to beg for groups. WHAT IS WRONG WITH KILL TASKS? You rarely meet other people and the runs to your target and back for the reward can be very boring. Trying to find the right person to give you a kill task can be daunghting. WHO GIVES KILL TASKS? Named guards give kill tasks. At the entrance to Camelot there is 1 person. At the bridge over the river leading to Camelot are 2 people. In the tower past Cotswold is 1 person. At the entrance to Prwyden Keep there is 1 person. At the bridge leading from Camelot Hills across the river toward The Plains are 2, sometimes 3 people. At West Downs there are 2 people. Roaming on the road between the bridge and the tower past West Downs near the Carrion Lizards are 3 people. Simply target them and type /s task or /whisper task. You can make a macro button if you have room on your bar. Type /macro TASK /whisper task. KILL TASKS HINTS 1. Use your compass. When the guard gives you a kill tasks he will also give you the direction you can find the monster. 2. Don't always follow the guard's direction. If you know where a closer monster is go to that one instead of following the guards direction. 3. To complete the kill task you need to make the killing blow. If you group with someone to do kill tasks make sure they do not make the killing blow. If you see someone in trouble and they are fighting your kill tasks monster go help them and try to make the killing blow. You earn your reward and the person you help will be grateful. 4. If you have to attack a creature in a group do not use your weapon skills. Save your Endurance to run away. Make sure you run while you have half health or more. If you don't then your run speed suffers. 5. Letting a fast running friend help you do kill tasks is a great idea. WHERE ARE THE MONSTERS? Most of the time just doing Kill Tasks will not level you. Call these filler kills. They will fill in the difference between levelling and xp from kill tasks.
